| Six students from Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNC), Rachel Alicia Wattimena, Rendi Mafer Ruyandi Tapikap, Arnoldilus Rayasari Keray, Heleni Celsi Febrianti Densi, Nadya Elyana Putri Bees, and Reynaldi Dharmawan Rihi, participated in a two-month student mobility program hosted by the Research Center for Politics and Government (PolGov), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The program, facilitated by the Citizens Participation in Resource Governance and Sustainable Transition (SUSTAIN) Project, took place from August to September 2025 and aimed to strengthen students’ academic capacities while fostering collaboration across institutions. Throughout the program, the students engaged in a range of research, learning, and capacity-building activities at PolGov. They were given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both research and media-related initiatives, allowing them to develop practical skills while contributing to ongoing academic and public engagement activities. As part of their involvement in media production, the students participated in the development of content published through the Department of Politics and Government’s social media platforms (@dppugm), helping to communicate research findings and public issues to broader audiences. In the area of research, the students collaborated closely with PolGov researchers through a series of academic discussions and learning sessions focusing on issues of natural resource governance, citizen participation, and sustainable development in Indonesia. These activities provided valuable opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of contemporary governance challenges while engaging with ongoing research initiatives. hrough this student mobility program, the SUSTAIN Project continues to support experiential learning, strengthen institutional collaboration, and promote meaningful engagement between universities and communities.
